Description
French 1866 Chassepot Bayonet w/ Sheath. Bayonet SN: F 83314 Scabbard SN: P31780. The blade has discoloration for an unknown reason. There is some pitting. The spine is marked ST Etienne, but we can’t make out the rest. The Brass Handle is showing a nice patina. The scabbard has a few light dings that do not impede function and the metal throat is showing a little damage. This is a good representation.
